I am Pastor Elvis Jaquez, I belong to the community of Gurabo. Our community has many challenges such as poverty, corruption, and unemployment. It is a very poor community. This is a community of 40,000 people. The main source of employment is an industrial zone. As a pastor of the community, we are working making disciples who make disciples. We have been able to engage with our neighbors more effectively using neighborhood homeowner association meetings. Meeting with the local police and the business school has also helped us connect with more people. We have been able to learn about the community concerns and as we partner to address them, many are joining the house church that we are leading where many are also being baptized |
